The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles is releasing a statement on new closures due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Over the weekend, the OMV said several locations had experienced intermittent closures to protect the health of workers and residents.
The OMV added they are encouraging customers to wear a mask while using OMV facilities and take advantage of several services that can be accessed online.
Last Friday, Governor Edwards announced the state was officially in a fourth-surge of the coronavirus and asked for unvaccinated Louisianans to get a COVID-19 shot.
