Louisiana Senate Republicans are getting a partial victory in the veto override session.
They were able to override Governor John Bel Edwards' veto of a ban on transgender athletes today.
A bill allowing people to carry weapons without a permit failed to receive the needed votes.
Two-thirds of the state House will have to vote in favor of the trans athlete ban for it to become law.
