National Vaccination Data Shows Louisiana Still Lagging Behind Other States

A study of vaccination rates across the U.S. shows Louisiana behind the national average for how much of the population has been inoculated.

According to new data released Monday, only 33% of Louisiana's population is considered fully vaccinated.

Louisiana has administered over 3.4 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine since February.

Doctors say for a state to achieve herd immunity, almost 80% of the population should be vaccinated.
