The state legislature is set to meet today in a historic session for its first-ever veto override.

Gov. John Bel Edwards vetoed a bill last month that blocks transgender athletes from playing on girl's teams in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Sources say the NCAA is threatening to pull its Final Four championship from New Orleans next year if the veto is overridden.

In 2017, New Orleans was chosen as a replacement site for the NBA All-Star game after North Carolina passed anti-transgender legislation.
