There are over 2,800 new coronavirus cases in Louisiana and 15 additional deaths, state health officials announced Thursday.
Over 900 patients are in the hospital while 65 are on ventilators.
Almost all the cases are from community spread with just 2% from congregate settings like nursing homes.
Residents are encouraged to get the coronavirus vaccine.
