The NOPD says they have arrested a woman who falsely claimed she had been carjacked near City Park.
Police confirmed yesterday that Kaitlyn Creshon, 30, is charged with filing a false report.
Creshon told authorities that just after midnight on July 18th, she was carjacked near the intersection of Mirabeau and Cartier.
Detectives say their investigation found that Creshon lied about the incident in an attempt to commit insurance fraud.
