The New Orleans Pelicans are adding Trey Murphy, III, a long-distance shooting guard from the University of Virginia.
The Pelicans selected Murphy last night with the 17th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Considered one of the best shooters in the Draft, the 6'9"Murphy shot 50% overall last year and 43% from three-point range.
The Pelicans finished out their draft by taking Alabama's Herbert Jones at number 35.
