The Louisiana Department of Health reported 16,541 new COVID-19 cases from over the weekend on Monday.
Hospitalizations rose by 299 to 2,720 with 318 on ventilators, an increase of 41 from the previous update.
State health officials added that 91% of current hospitalizations are of those not fully vaccinated.
The death toll rose by 50 to 11,260.
LDH said 65,589 vaccine doses were administered since last Thursday.
