Officials at Louisiana State University say about one-third of the student body has been vaccinated for COVID-19.

On Monday, the University said over 11,000 students have completed the verification process and are partially or fully vaccinated.

LSU also said that around 4,600 of the 6,1000 students who live in student housing are partially or fully vaccinated.

Sororities and fraternities have the highest vaccination rates among LSU students, with members saying more vaccinations will lead to fewer canceled events.
