NOLA Businesses Get Support From City On Checking Customer Vaccine Status

The City of New Orleans is offering funding to help local businesses hire staff to check customers' COVID-19 vaccination or testing status.

City spokesperson Beau Tidwell said yesterday that the city's Job One program will offer businesses help hiring people to check status as guests enter.

Tidwell added that mandated businesses that do not check a person's vaccine status risk possible shut down by the city.

Officials say the Job One Program has people ready to work and the funding to pay them for six months.
