Parents of students in NOLA Public Schools are demanding the District offer virtual learning options as COVID-19 cases surge.

At an Orleans Parish School Board meeting Thursday night, several parents pled for virtual learning with some passionate speakers using profanity to stress their opinions.

NOLA PS says they are following health experts' guidance that says children are not likely to catch COVID-19 at school.

Superintendent Dr. Harrison Lewis added that virtual learning is an option, but a process must be followed to move a student to remote learning.
