The Multi-State Lottery Association's new third weekly drawing to the Powerball Lottery is holding its first run on Monday.
The new drawing debuting on August 23 will become the third drawing of the week, with others on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The lottery has been preparing for months to add a drawing on Mondays, with all other aspects of the game, including its matrix, prize levels and operations, remaining the same.
Louisiana joined the Powerball in 1995 and Mega Millions in 2011.
