NOPD Officer Everett Briscoe is set to be laid to rest this weekend in New Orleans.
Briscoe's body was escorted from Texas back to New Orleans on Tuesday as officials announced funeral arrangements with a public viewing.
Briscoe will lie in state for the public to pay their respects on Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Mahalia Jackson Theater, with visitors asked to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.
On Saturday, another viewing at Xavier's Convocation Center will start at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
