The Jefferson Parish Council wants to know what's taking so long to restore utilities and services more than two weeks after Hurricane Ida.
Council members questioned representatives of debris, garbage, electricity, and Internet service providers on Wednesday, and urged them to hurry up with the restoration work so parish residents can get back to their normal lives.
The various company officials promised to pick up the pace and keep parish government leaders posted on their progress.
Parts of Jefferson Parish are still experiencing power outages, piles of debris, and heaps of garbage.
