Sen. John Kennedy wants AT&T to explain why its network in Louisiana failed after Hurricane Ida hit.
The Louisiana Republican wrote to AT&T CEO John Stankey to complain about the system's failure.
Kennedy reminded Stankey that the company was awarded a 25-year contract worth more than $6 billion to build and maintain a network that would provide communications services for first responders during the worst disasters.
He says when the system failed, four parishes were left without 911 service.
