Superdome management says the damage from Monday's fire appears to be superficial and won't affect any scheduled events, including the game between the Saints and the New England Patriots on October 3.
The roof of the Dome caught fire about midday Tuesday as a work crew pressure-washed it. The fire department says a malfunction with the pressure washer apparently sparked the fire.
Workers inside the building say they heard people yelling to evacuate but didn't hear any fire alarms.
