Gayle Benson: Pelicans Won't Be Sold As Long As She's Alive

Gayle Benson, owner of the New Orleans Pelicans, says the team won't be sold while she's alive. Benson made the comment in an interview this week.

She said a recent report that suggested the Pelicans were the NBA franchise most likely to be sold is absolutely untrue.

Benson said she gets calls all the time from people who want to buy the Saints, the Pelicans, or both.

She said it's not going to happen, because her late husband Tom worked so hard to bring the teams to New Orleans.
