NOPD Superintendent's Son Arrested For Assaulting Two Officers

The son of NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson faces charges of assaulting a couple of New Orleans Police officers.

Officers responded to a reported disturbance on Friday at the headquarters of the city's Sewerage & Water Board on Joseph Street.

On arrival, they reportedly encountered 24-year-old Shane Ferguson threatening fellow SWB employees.

Ferguson reportedly slapped one officer, spat on another, and damaged their squad car by kicking it.

He faces two counts of battery of a police officer, two counts of assault, and one count each of trespassing and criminal damage to property.
