Terrebonne Parish leaders are setting up temporary housing for displaced hurricane victims waiting for FEMA trailers to arrive.
Dozens of Houma residents have been living in shelters ever since Hurricane Ida more than a month ago.
With state assistance, Parish President Gordon Dove is moving ahead with makeshift shelters, setting up six different tent locations, including in Dumas Park.
Dove says more than 3,300 local residents have applied for FEMA-type trailers.
