Louisiana State Police are investigating the fatal shootings of a state trooper and another person in a crime spree that spanned several parishes.
Master Trooper Adam Gaubert was a 19-year veteran of the state police.
After a manhunt involving a number of police agencies, officers arrested 31-year-old Matthew Mire shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Mire is also accused of killing 37-year-old Pamela Adair and critically wounding three other people.
He's hospitalized with a K-9 bite and a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg.
