New Orleans voters have local elections coming up next month after a campaign season disrupted by Hurricane Ida.
In addition to city council races, Mayor LaToya Cantrell is running for re-election against a crowded field of 13 grassroots challengers. Only one of her opponents has managed to raise more than $2,500 in donations.
The election was originally scheduled for October 9 but was postponed because of the hurricane.
