Sam Mills will soon be a member of the Saints Ring of Honor.
The team announced today the legendary linebacker will inducted into the ring on December 2.
Mills played nine seasons with New Orleans as part of the "Dome Patrol" defense. He later joined the Carolina Panthers for three more.
Mills, who died of cancer in 2005, is a College Football Hall of Fame member and has been a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame the last two years.
