New video released shows a New Orleans City Councilman telling a local news station that he wouldn't get in trouble again just days before another drunk driving arrest.

District D Councilman Jared Brossett was arrested on DWI charges early Monday morning.

According to a police report, officers found Brossett unresponsive behind the wheel of his car with the engine running in the 3100 block of Elysian Fields just about 2:30 Monday morning.

Days before, Brossett was speaking with the media about concerns over his previous 2020 arrest ahead of this November's general election where he is running for the City Council-at-Large Division 2 seat.
