Louisiana officials are responding to the trillion-dollar infrastructure bill President Biden signed on Monday.

The state can expect at least $7 billion for roads, bridges, airports, and other projects.

State Rep. Jerome Zeringue, chairman of the state's Appropriations Committee, says some of these projects could get started within a few months.

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome says the money is coming at just the right time.

The bill's supporters say it will create thousands of jobs while critics say it will add to inflation.
