The redistricting roadshow is now underway.
Louisiana legislators got the ball rolling on Tuesday evening in the Cotillion Ballroom at Southern University.
Every ten years, legislative boundaries are redrawn based on population data from the Census. The roadshow will travel the state over the next four months, giving constituents a chance to provide input into the process.
From now through January, the remaining five stops will be in Covington, Lake Charles, New Orleans, Thibodaux, and again in Baton Rouge.
The Special Redistricting Legislative Session is in February.
