Frank Wilson is returning to LSU to be the associate head coach for the Tigers.
Head coach Brian Kelly announced Wilson's selection on Tuesday.
Wilson is a New Orleans native and two-time national recruiter of the year who spent the past year at McNeese State in Lake Charles.
Wilson was on the LSU coaching staff from 2010 to 2015.
In those six years, he helped the Tigers make six bowl appearances, with an overall win-loss record of 61-17.
