A possible passenger rail line between Baton Rouge and New Orleans is coming closer to reality.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Governor John Bel Edwards welcomed Canadian Pacific as the future owner of the passenger train service between the state's two largest cities.
The rail line is expected to require about $262 million in upgrades.
