With carnival season a month away, there's still some question as to where the parade routes will be.
Talks at City Hall have dealt with the possibility of changing the routes, and krewes don't know whether the changes will take effect. A city spokesperson says those conversations are ongoing.
In planning the parade route, city officials have to take into account the shortage of manpower, affecting city functions from police officers to trash collectors.
