The AAA Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Louisiana is $3.04 a gallon for regular unleaded.
That price is down two-cents from a week ago, and is a $1.09 more than a year ago.
The national average is $3.29.
Gasoline supply increased while demand decreased, and the price could have fallen more but crude oil prices remain stiff.
The average price at the pump in New Orleans is $3.08.
