Jefferson Parish Businesses Expect Boost As NOLA Reinstates Mask Mandate

Business owners in Jefferson Parish say they expect a boost in customers after neighboring New Orleans reimposed its mask mandate.

Jefferson Parish Councilman Scott Walker says the parish's approach is to allow adults to make their own decisions.

Walker says there's not much enthusiasm about bringing back a parish-wide mask requirement.

He says that's especially true because there's evidence the omicron surge may soon reach its peak.
