The AAA Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Louisiana is $3.03 a gallon for regular unleaded, down one cent from a week ago and is 96 cents more than a year ago.
The national average is $3.30.
Gasoline supply is up and demand is down, but rising crude prices are keeping the pump price from dropping.
The average price at the pump in Baton Rouge is $3.02. In New Orleans, it's $3.08.
