The man accused of killing former Saints defensive end Will Smith will be tried again in Orleans Parish.
A judge made the decision today in the Cardell Hayes case.
Prosecutors attempted to get the venue change citing massive publicity.
Hayes was originally convicted of manslaughter in 2016.
The U.S. Supreme Court tossed it last year saying non-unanimous convictions were unconstitutional.
