The AAA Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Louisiana is $3.14 a gallon for regular unleaded.
That price is up six cents from a week ago, and is 96 cents more than a year ago.
The national average is $3.41.
Gasoline supplies are up and demand is slightly down, but rising crude prices are driving gas prices up.
The average price at the pump is $3.18 in New Orleans and $3.13 in Baton Rouge.
