The City of New Orleans is extending the deadline for 2022 property tax payments to March 15.

City officials made the announcement on Thursday.

Taxpayers will be able to view their tax bills online on February 8 or after that date if they get their bill in the mail.

Residents can avoid lines at City Hall by mailing a personal check, cashier's check, money order or by paying online at nola.gov.

A processing fee will be added to credit or debit card payments.

After March 15, interest starts accruing at a rate of 1%.
