The new president of the Legislative Black Caucus says it's time Louisiana had more minority representation in the U.S. Congress.

State Rep. Vincent Pierre, a Lafayette Democrat, told reporters on Monday that the state only has one minority-majority district, and the current redistricting session has the chance to increase the number to at least two. Rep. Pierre said blacks are also underrepresented in both houses of the state legislature. He said there may be litigation after the session if things don't change.
