Teen Carjacker Runs Over Victim With His Own Car In Harahan

A carjacking victim is in the hospital after a 15-year-old suspect reportedly stole his car at gunpoint and then ran over him.

Harahan police responded about 4:00 p.m. Saturday to the reported carjacking on Hickory Avenue near Dock Street.

Officers tried to pull over the teen suspect, resulting in a chase that ended with a crash on St. George Avenue at Jefferson Highway.

Police arrested the teen and found a gun that had been stolen in New Orleans.

The suspect and the victim were both hospitalized.
