The hospitality industry in New Orleans is rebounding from the pandemic as conventions return to the city.

Going on right now at the Morial Convention Center is the annual conference of the American Association for Cancer Research.

About 14,000 scientists and doctors from 73 countries are in town for the event, which is expected to have a $16 million economic impact on the city.

Hotels, shops, and restaurants are benefiting.

Brennan's Restaurant in the French Quarter is fully booked until the middle of May.
