The Louisiana High School Athletic Association is making a rule change to allow high school student-athletes to profit off their names, images, and likenesses.

The association voted to amend its bylaws to allow high-schoolers to receive NIL benefits, same as college athletes.

The LHSAA also approved a statewide partnership with Eccker Sports to help high school leaders and students deal with the challenges presented by NIL contracts.
