Gov. John Bel Edwards is sharing his thoughts about how the 2022 Legislative Session is going.

The full House passed the proposed $45 billion state budget on Thursday afternoon.

In a press conference at the Louisiana State Capitol, Edwards says he's glad the teacher pay raise stayed in the budget, but he wonders what became of a raise for first responders.

Edwards said the state's pandemic numbers are improved, but the virus is still with us.

In infrastructure, he touted the proposed new Mississippi River Bridge and the passenger train between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
