New Orleans City Councilman Eugene Green says it's time to do something about dangerous street racing and street stunts.
Green says he plans to introduce an ordinance to impose penalties on those performing the stunts.
He says he'll ask for a first-time fine of $1,000 and for a second-time punishment, confiscation of the suspect's vehicle until a $5,000 fine is paid.
In the meantime, Green urges people to call the police to report street stunts, and he asks the police to respond quickly.
