A former Louisiana congressman is resigning from his post with the Biden administration after less than two years.
Cedric Richmond left his 2nd Congressional District seat in November 2020 to become the director of the White House Office of Public Engagement.
Rep. Troy Carter (D) filled Richmond's vacated position after a special election a year ago.
Richmond is reportedly taking a position as senior advisor at the Democratic National Committee next month.
