The New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board is admitting drainage pumps failed last week in Gentilly.
Executive Director Ghassan Korban told SW&B board members today it took two hours last Friday to get three pumps working.
He cited operator error for the pump failure and hoped the board would approve more automation.
The SW&B originally said flooding happened in Gentilly because of how quickly rain fell.
