Mother, Boyfriend Arrested In Houma Toddler's Death

A Houma woman and her boyfriend are in custody after the woman's missing toddler was found dead in a trash can.

Police say Maya Jones, 28, reported two-year-old Ezekiel Harry missing around noon on Tuesday.

She told police he had been abducted but authorities said her story fell apart under questioning.

Harry's body was found in a neighbor's trash.

Police Chief Dana Coleman says Jones was caught on a security camera carrying a duffel bag used to conceal the dead body.

Jones and her boyfriend, Jermaine Robinson, 27, are charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice.
