The National Weather Service says there is a slight risk of flooding rainfall Thursday for southeast Louisiana.
"The threat will be highest during the afternoon and evening hours. High rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour will be the primary concern with these thunderstorms as they pass through," said the NWS. "These high rain rates could lead to street flooding issues in low lying and poorly drained areas."
The Weather Prediction Center also has placed a marginal to slight risk of excessive rainfall for our area on Friday.
