The Miami Dolphins are getting punished by the NFL for allegedly tampering with ex-Saints Head Coach Sean Payton.
League investigators say Miami talked to Payton's agent before he decided to retire from New Orleans last January.
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross also tried to get permission to talk with Payton after his retirement but the Saints denied the request.
Payton won't be disciplined but Ross was suspended through the middle of October.
