The honor of wearing jersey No. 18 for the LSU Tigers is going to defensive end B.J. Ojulari.

Head coach Brian Kelly announced on Saturday that Ojulari embodies what the number represents.

Kelly explained, "The No. 18 is the player who brings all those traits of someone who leads in an extraordinary manner."

LSU's No. 18 tradition dates back to 2003, when quarterback Matt Mauck led the Tigers to their first national championship since 1958.

Ojulari is a 6-foot-3, 250-pound junior from Marietta, Georgia, who had seven sacks last season.
