A New Orleans trash collection company will pay almost $107,000 in overtime to its employees following a federal audit.
The Labor Department announced on Tuesday that 105 employees of IV Waste had been improperly denied overtime and bonus pay in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The company chalked it up to a dispute with the auditors over the way overtime rates had been calculated for a small number of employees.
IV Waste says it doesn't agree but will pay the disputed amounts.
