Louisiana Sends Engineering Team To Jackson, MS To Help With Water Crisis

Louisiana is preparing to send help with the ongoing water crisis in Jackson, Mississippi.

The state Department of Health and the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness are dispatching a team of four engineers with a total of 87 years of experience.

Mississippi's capital has been dealing with heavy damage to the area's drinking water system caused by heavy rains and floods.

The Louisiana team has also participated in recovery efforts after several major hurricanes and other severe weather events.
