Tropical Storm Karl Forms In Bay Of Campeche, No Threat To Louisiana

Tropical Storm Karl formed in the Bay of Campeche Tuesday.

Karl is expected to meander over water for a few days, slightly strengthening before moving inland over Mexico on Friday.

A tropical storm watch is up for parts of southeastern Mexico.

While there is no direct threat to Louisiana from Karl, associated moisture from the system may increase rain chances in our area over the next few days.

Here are the key messages from the National Hurricane Center for Karl from Tuesday afternoon:

The 2022 Atlantic hurricane season ends November 30.
