Biden's Pot Pardon Won't Necessarily Help People Convicted In Louisiana

President Joe Biden's recent pardon for all pot possession charges at the federal level won't necessarily help people convicted of similar charges in Louisiana.

Biden also asked state governors to take similar action.

While Gov. John Bel Edwards supports Biden's move, he says the state constitution prevents him from following the president's lead.

People in Louisiana with simple pot convictions still have to go through the same process to get a pardon as anyone convicted of a more serious offense.
